Affiliate Terms

These terms cover Hookshift's affiliate program. They sit alongside the Terms of Service, which still govern your use of Hookshift itself. "We" is Hookshift, run by Kaleidoscopic GmbH, Gustav-Gull-Platz 4, 8004 Zurich, Switzerland.

1. Who can be an affiliate

Any Hookshift customer with a running subscription, including one in its free trial. Your link is on the Refer and earn page in Hookshift. You must be at least 18.

2. Who counts as your referral

Someone counts as your referral when all of these are true:

• they create a new Hookshift account from your link, or with your code
• your subscription is running at the moment they create it

An account that existed before never counts, and neither does an account of your own. Someone who leaves and comes back later without your link is not counted.

Once someone counts as your referral, they stay yours.

People who sign up with your link or code see your Instagram handle.

3. What you earn

You earn the commission rate shown on your Refer and earn page, set when you first become an affiliate. It applies to every payment your referral makes to Hookshift, for as long as you both stay subscribed. The commission is taken from the price they pay after any discount and before tax, except a discount you give them (below). If one of those payments is refunded or charged back, the commission you earned on it comes off your balance, in full or in the same share as the refund.

You can give the people you bring a discount, out of your commission rate, on your Refer and earn page. A person keeps the discount they signed up with for as long as they stay subscribed, and you earn your rate minus that discount on each of their payments. A change you make applies to people who sign up after it.

A payment your referral makes while you have no running subscription earns you nothing. The referral stays yours, and their payments earn for you again once you subscribe again.

4. When you can withdraw

You can withdraw each commission 30 days after the payment it comes from. You can withdraw once your balance is $50 or more. Amounts are in US dollars.

A withdrawal can wait while a payment you earned on is disputed, while your own subscription payment has failed, or while your last withdrawal is still on its way.

5. How you are paid

When you withdraw, we send the money through Wise or another payout service. If a payout is not claimed, the money comes back to your balance and you can withdraw it again.

Each payout comes with an invoice we issue on your behalf, which you can download from the Refer and earn page. You are responsible for declaring what you earn and for any tax on it where you live.

6. Using your earnings to pay for Hookshift

Instead of withdrawing, your earnings can pay for your own subscription. This is on unless you turn it off on the Refer and earn page. Before each subscription payment, the part of your balance you can withdraw, up to the price of that payment, comes off it. Whatever is left stays in your balance.

7. If you cancel

You stop earning when your subscription ends, until you subscribe again.

Your balance is kept for 6 months after your subscription ends. Within those 6 months you can withdraw it, once it is $50 or more, or subscribe again to keep it. After that, what is left in your balance is lost. You can see the amount and the date on the Refer and earn page.

If a withdrawal is on its way or held on that date, you have 30 more days from when it arrives, comes back or is no longer held.

8. How you describe Hookshift

Describe Hookshift as what it is: a tool for testing creative variants of your reels, and do not promise results you cannot back up.

9. Ending the program, and changes

We can change your commission rate, these terms, or end the program. We tell you before a change that reduces what you earn, and commissions already earned are paid under the terms they were earned under.

If we find a referral was obtained by fraud or in breach of section 8, we can cancel the commissions from it and end your participation. We can also end your participation for any other reason, with notice. Commissions you earned before it ends stay yours under these terms.
