Hookshift takes one video and a list of hooks, renders a variant for each, publishes them to your own Instagram account as trial reels on the schedule you set, then reports back how each variant did.

How it works

Upload one video, paste your hooks
Bring a video you would post anyway, and the list of opening lines you want to test against each other.

Hookshift renders the variants
Each hook is typeset onto the video and fitted inside Instagram's safe area. Text, typeface and framing change. The underlying video does not.

It publishes, then reports
Variants go out to your own account as trial reels, paced the way you set. Hookshift reads back what Instagram reports for each one, so the comparison is per variant rather than per week.

Optional. Transcription runs on Hookshift's own machines. Your audio is not sent to a third-party service.

Pull in reels already on your account so their results sit next to the new ones.
Follower count, daily
Recorded once a day, so account growth lines up against what you published.
What happens to your account and your video
- Your token is encrypted at rest and deleted the moment you disconnect Instagram, not merely marked unused.
- Hookshift acts only on your own account, only on your instruction, and never on anyone else's.
- It reads metrics only for the reels it published for you, plus your account follower count. Nothing about your followers as individuals.
- Your video stays yours. It is not used to train models, not sold, and not used for advertising.
- One cookie, the one that keeps you logged in. No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, and so no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
- Delete your account and the data goes with it. The steps, and the exact timings, are on the Data Deletion Instructions page.
